Walton on the Hill Primary School (WOTH) is a popular, vibrant and friendly school for pupils aged 4 to 11, serving the beautiful rural village of Walton on the Hill in the North Downs of Surrey. As a school, we offer a rich and engaging curriculum: children who come here benefit from the wealth of experiences and opportunities we offer, they form friendships for life and become responsible, respectful young people. We provide a foundation which respects and celebrates individuality and teaches others to do the same.
We pride ourselves on our nurturing environment and our position at the centre of a welcoming village community. While we are keen to protect the traditional values which have served us so well, we are very aware that we are preparing children for life in a 21st Century world and are conscious to ensure our curriculum, values and approach reflect the diverse, ever-changing society in which we live.
At WOTH we aim for excellence and enjoyment in everything we do. We recognise that children need to be prepared well for secondary school and are very proud of our academic results, but we are equally proud of the rich variety of experiences and activities offered beyond the classroom – whether that be on the sports field, on stage, in the swimming pool or toasting a marshmallow over the campfire! Most importantly, we nurture children who are kind, tolerant, curious, resilient and happy. We call it Walton-ness and value it more highly than anything else!
We hope our website offers lots of useful information about life in our school, but if you are considering choosing our school for your child then we highly recommend you arrange a visit to see the school in action. We would love to show you around!
